NROTC Four-Year Scholarship

Please visit http://www.nrotc.navy.mil/apply.aspx to apply for an NROTC scholarship. In addition to the scholarship application, the most up-to-date information pertaining to program entrance requirements and scholarship application deadlines can also be found there.

 Overview

  • Full tuition
  • All college's/university's educational fees
  • Stipend for textbooks ($375)
  • All required uniforms
  • Subsistence allowance each academic month (varies according to academic year)

NROTC Nurse Option

There are two nursing schools available to our Nurse Options, the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and Regis University. Nurse Options students will be required to travel to University of Colorado Boulder to take Naval Science classes, as well as participate in Unit activities.

 Overview

  • Available to students interested in pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BSN)
  • If selected for scholarship, selectee must major in a nursing degree program leading to BSN
  • Nurse NROTC Scholarship Program midshipmen commissioned as reserve officers in Navy Nurse Corps
  • Nurse NROTC eligibility and selection procedures same as regular four-year NROTC Scholarship Program requirements
  • Nurse NROTC Scholarship Program not for those pursuing any other medical program

NROTC College Program

Overview

  • Applicants selected from students already attending or accepted by colleges with NROTC programs
  • Pays for uniforms and instructional fees for naval science courses
  • College Program students selected for "advanced standing" receives a stipend for maximum of 20 months. Advance standing is only available starting the junior year of college. Stipend per academic month is $350 junior year and $400 senior year. College Program students not selected for “advanced standing” will be disenrolled from the NROTC program.
  • Students will complete naval science and other university courses, a few specific university courses, and attend one summer training session
  • On graduation, College Program midshipmen may be commissioned ensigns in the Naval Service or second lieutenants in the Marine Corps

    Tweedale Scholarship

    Each unit’s Professor of Naval Science (PNS) is assigned two Tweedale Scholarships each year. This program is focused at students majoring in specific technical fields.
