Jill Cooper obtained a B.S. in mechanical engineering with a minor in sociology at the University of Arizona in Tucson. As a senior, Jill worked with Dr. Yitshak Zohar on MEMS devices for studying plant behavior and attended the IEEE MEMS 2009 conference in Sorrento, Italy to present their work. She was named outstanding senior for her graduating class in 2008.
Jill began her Ph.D. in the fall of 2008 and is currently working on micro scale fluid and heat transfer in Dr. Bright’s research group.
