Miles Abarr received his B.S. in Aersopace Engineering at the University of California, San Diego in 2010. During his time there he worked in two labs, one involved in advanced composites research, and the other in plasma physics. He has joined Dr. Bright’s research lab with the goal of developing a MEMS device for applications in energy storage or conversion.
Outside of academia, Miles has interests in snowboarding, golfing, paintballing, hockey, and hiking. He has a dog with an unknown breed named Bella. He also enjoys BBQing and craft beer. He is a big NFL fan, and his favorite team is the San Diego Chargers. He is excited to finally have a football team at his University, especially one in the PAC 12.
