Welcome !
We are a basic research laboratory in the department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (MCDB) at the University of Colorado - Boulder (CU). Our research aims to understand the molecular mechanisms of membrane trafficking in the endocytic pathway of eukaryotic cells. We are investigating this issue using the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model system.
Our research
We are currently focused on the mechanism of protein sorting via the multivesicular body (MVB) pathway. The process of MVB sorting is conserved between yeast and humans and is mediated by the endosomal sorting complexes required for transport (ESCRTs). Click here for a quick read about the MVB pathway. Who we are
Our research group consists of graduate students and postdoctoral scholars as well as undergraduate students from CU and other universities. Click here to view the members of the lab. If you are interested in joining us, please contact the PI, Greg Odorizzi.
