Given what you know about water and its intermolecular interactions (from the readings) ...

Consider molecule A:  What happens to its structure in water if i) each subunit could make two or more hydrogen bonds with water compared to ii) subunits were unable to hydrogen bonds with water.   Assume that the molecule is flexible!

Consider molecule B: What will the polypeptide look like in water at neutral pH and how would increasing hydrogen ion concentration alter its structure?

Consider molecule C: The molecule has positive and negative charges along its length; how does this influence its structure in water and what would happen if all the charges were positive.
