Undergraduate Certificate in International Media
Offered jointly by the International Affairs Program, the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Journalism and Mass Communication News and advertising have become increasingly important in today’s world. Journalists and advertising planners are in need of context and perspective to understand contemporary global and international issues. At the same time, an increasing number of International Affairs majors want to explore careers in international journalism and advertising. This certificate will open doors to international and world-area specializations for students in Journalism and Mass Communication, and will introduce International Affairs students to careers in communication media. The International Media Certificate is designed for high-achieving majors in International Affairs (IAFS) and Journalism and Mass Communication (JOUR) at CU Boulder.
This Certificate program is jointly administered by International Affairs in the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at CU Boulder. The selection committee will consist of one faculty member each from IAFS and JOUR. Benefits This certificate is an award: Display it on your resume. It indicates you have completed a demanding academic program beyond the major. It demonstrates that you have interdisciplinary breadth. This additional qualification in International Media says you are among a select group of highly motivated undergraduates at CU Boulder.
