Global Media: Welcome 
This is an introduction to the international and global media activities
of
the School
of Journalism and Mass Communication on the Boulder campus
of the University of
Colorado. The School recently inaugurated its
first named Chair, endowed by CU alumnus James E. de Castro for research
on global and
international media. The School offers courses in international and global
media taught by Shu-ling Berggreen,
Andrew Calabrese, Polly
McLean, Bella Mody, and Marguerite Moritz as part
of its undergraduate,
masters,
and doctoral
programs. Faculty research focuses on Asia, Africa, the Caribbean
and Europe. Future activities include short courses on media skills and
international development communication, taught in Colorado and in under-served
locations around the world.
