Scholar-in-Residence Jim Sheeler (MA' 07) read from his latest book "Final Salute: A Story of Unfinished Lives" at the SJMC homecoming event Oct. 4 in the black box theater in the ATLAS building on campus. Sheeler talked about the months he spent with Marine Lt. Col. Steve Beck and other Marines as they notified Colorado families they had lost loved ones in Iraq. The book is listed as one of the "Books That Tower Above the Rest," in a Nov. 28 edition of The New York Times.
