Telephone and Long Distance Service Policy

Residence Hall and Family Housing Customers
You are responsible for all calls charged to your long distance authorization code.

Successive Calls
When making more than one long distance call, be sure to disconnect each call completely by depressing the switchhook for at least five seconds. Failing to disconnect properly may result in putting the previous call "on-hold" and being charged for the duration of two simultaneous calls.

Charges
Calls are charged per minute.

Payment
TOTALComm@CU will provide you with long distance calling records. The Bursar's Office will provide you with the actual bill. Make payments to the BursarÍs Office. Checks are made payable to the University of Colorado.

Billing Information
Each billing period you will receive an information statement from ITS of all long distance calls you placed during that billing period. This will be followed by your long distance bill from the Bursar's Office. If you have any questions about your long distance records, please call 303-735-HELP (4357).

Collect/Third Party Calls
Boulder campus telephone users should not accept third-party billing or collect calls. A surcharge will be applied to cover the cost of rebilling for these calls.

900 Area Codes/976 Prefixes
Calls to numbers that have a 900 area code or a 976 prefix are restricted from the Boulder campus. Some 800 area codes are toll calls and are restricted from the Boulder campus.
