The introduction of Windows 2000 presented both opportunities and challenges to the higher education IT environment. Anticipating the desire for the advantages gained by Windows 2000 on campus and recognizing the numerous challenges, ITS started planning long before the release of the product. Since its release, ITS has begun to assist departments in their deployment planning and implementation.
