Archived Updates - Summer 1998
Today we cut the hedges in the front of our house. It looks good, and makes the outside of our house look much better.

The electrician came out today and fixed the wiring around the pool. We then put up some new lights and the pool area looks great at night. Now we're able to play volleyball at night and take a swim after we get hot and dirty in the sand.

Today we put up lights on the volleyball court so we can now play volleyball at night. We are also getting an electrician out sometime this week to help us rewire all the lights outside. (If you are not familiar with our house, most stuff in it - such as the electrical wiring, is so old that it doesn't work anymore) Hopefully if all goes well we will have the lights working around the pool, and on the deck. Currently the main lights work on the deck, but not the secondary ones (on the corner of the house facing the pool)

Our new carpet is in, and it makes the house look so much nicer. The house is starting to feel a lot better. We can't wait to see what everyone has to say about the house when they see this place at the beginning of the school year... Also, we will be getting a scanner for our webpage, and when we do we will show you pictures of all the improvements we are making.

The pool is now sparkling clean, and looking better then ever before! All of us living here during the summer are using it just about every day. Our broken bathroom has just been fixed as well. It seems as if people want a change in our house! We are supposed to get curtains for the windows, new carpet, lights for the volleyball court, and many other things. We will keep you posted as the improvements continue.

Today we fixed the pump in our pool and filled it. It is great. We go swimming just about every day. It is so nice to have a pool that actually works (after having it not work for a few years)

Today we refinished the deck outside. It makes the house look a lot better from the front. Its a dark ceder-red and looks great.

Everything about the house is starting to look much better. Today we had a major house cleanup. We scrubbed clean all the bathrooms, picked up everything and simply straightened the house up. It makes the house look so much better!

The summer is here, and we are about to start making changes to the house. We plan on improving the Beta Kappa house throughout the summer, and into next year. For the time being, this will be where we tell you what changes are being made.
