Chi-O and Phi Psi for a great job on the float! The larger-than-life

CHI-O
OF THE WEEK (08.25.03)
A
Tribute to Molly Suggs and Kelly Borden
By Jehda Honculada
They were friends before they became an integral part of Chi Omega
and their friendship has only strengthened since joining this
house. These two inseparable girls are none other than Molly Suggs
and Kelly Borden.
Two years ago they became roommates occupying the much coveted
room 201. They’re creativity transformed a room that was
once undesirable into a double that is highly sought after. Had
it not been for their incredible space-saving techniques room
201 would be a room of utter confusion. Now it is a highlight
during the house tour for Recruitment’s 2nd Datebook causing
a traffic jam at the second floor landing.
This ingenuity of theirs extends to other levels of their psyche.
One day the fates tossed them quite a curveball and, for reasons
unmentioned, there was a hunt for these two, innocent women. They
took the road less traveled and decided to stay and fight off
their oppressors. Unfortunately the strong arm of the law deems
it necessary that the innocents of the world suffer so that the
guilty may run rampant – literally. Their bravery and steadfastness
on this dreary Saturday will forever make them the heroines in
our hearts.
Lastly, we found Molly and Kelly to be quite indispensable during
Recruitment. When observing Molly’s apprenticeship to Holly
Downs, we realize that we could not have asked for a better replacement.
Understanding the importance of her job Molly delivered a performance
that was nothing short of perfect. Kelly also devoted much of
her time to the abysmal interior of our Pledge Room/Computer Room/Study
Room. While most of us were above ground carrying on pleasant
conversations with the rushees, Kelly took care of most of the
“paper work” downstairs. When a particular in-house
member couldn’t attend the first five parties during 1st
Datebook Kelly willingly became a temporary replacement.
And so their saga continues. Chi Omega has brought to them a wiser
outlook on life and in turn they have brightened the hallways
of our wonderful home.
