Omega Just Wish For It! 5k Fun Run/Walk (11.06.05)
On your mark, get set, go! This was Chi O’s second year hosting
a 5k fun run/walk to benefit the Make a Wish Foundation of Colorado. Together
our 5k and spring BBQ help us raise enough money to grant a wish for a
child in Colorado. This is a great philanthropy because we actually meet
the children we are helping. Thanks to everyone who donated their time
and money to a great cause. And to anyone who couldn’t make it,
we’ll see you next fall, because we hope this race will only get
bigger! Click here to view the pictures.
Fall
Mascarade Formal (10.28.05)
Falling
the same weekend as Halloween, our fall formal this year had a masquerade
theme. Chi O seniors planned the entire event, which occurred at the Club
level of Folsom field. Special thanks to Lindsay Murray for arranging
the dance. Seniors we will miss you!
Kristen's
Hurricane Katrina Shirt Sale (10.13.05)
With
a desire to provide extra aid to the Red Cross efforts in New Orleans,
junior, Kristen Olson, has created Red Cross T-Shirts. Our chapter has
helped fund the costs of the shirts, allowing all profits to benefit the
Red Cross.
"When I heard what happened in New Orleans, I wanted to help. I felt
selling the shirts on campus would unify the student body, as well as
donate to an excellent organization such as the Red Cross" --Kristen
Olson
T-shirts
will be on sale, Wed. October 12 from 8am-12pm as well as other days
that are to be announced at the pedestrian underpass near Broadway and
College
The
cost is $10, which will all be donated to the Red Cross
Homecoming
Weekend (10.07-09.05)
This
fall, Chi O was paired with ZBT and SAE, taking second in homecoming!
After several coats of paint, our float made its way down 13th Street
with approximately 50 screaming Chi O's and boys riding on it. We definetly
had the most participation and even were filmed for FSN sports television.
Special thanks to our amazing Homecoming Chair, Jessica Langfeldt, for
arranging this event and to the ZBT and SAE boys! Pictures will be available
shortly.
Pre-Game
BBQ (09.10.05)
For
the CU vs. New Mexico State game Chi O's got decked in black and gold
and enjoyed BBQ on the back porch. "The BBQ was a hit and it was

Lauren Myer. Thanks to Lisa Thomashow for coordinating this sisterhood
event. Go buffs! click here to view pictures.
Greek
Carnival (09.02.05)
Hosted
by our local Panhellenic board, the Greek Carnival offered a fun and laid
back atmosphere in which women around campus could explore the possibilities
of joining one of the ten sororities on campus. Chi O's were pleased to
meet the wonderful potential new members and encourage anyone curious
about recruitment to visit the Panhellenic
website. Also feel free to explore our website, it is full of photo
albums from previous events Chi O has been apart of and has information
on spring recruitment. Thanks to all that
attended the carnival and to those that missed it there will be many more
events throughout the semester, stay tuned by checking our upcoming events

JUST WISH FOR IT! - (10.10.04)
On
October 10th, Chi Omega (Zeta) hosted its 1st Annual 5K Just Wish
for It! Runners
and walkers helped share the power of a wish to benefit the Make-A-Wish
Foundation of Colorado. The Zeta Chapter of Chi Omega at the University
of Colorado at Boulder created the race due to a desire to raise
money for courageous Colorado children fighting life threatening
medical conditions and to celebrate Homecoming at the University
of Colorado. It was very successful and raised over $4000 net
profit -- enough to make a wish come true! Participants received
a free T-shirt and enjoyed spending a beautiful Boulder morning
at the Boulder Reservoir. Click here

a specific decade. The float also included members from the sorority
and fraternities who cheered during the parade on the Hill on
Friday, October 8th. Click here

for their philanthropy, Make-A-Wish.
It was a great success, as we raised almost twice as much as

GREEK
WEEK & SONGFEST - (4.07.04 - 4.13.04)
After
months of practicing, Chi Omega has done it once again. Songfest
is a dance competition where each sorority is paired up with
one or two fraternities. This year, Chi O was fortunate enough
to be paired up with Sigma Alpha Epsilon and PIKE. After a week
long of different activities such as karaoke, volleyball, football,
and more, Chi Omega came in 7th in Greek Week, and a place higher
than last year, 2nd place for Songfest. A special thanks goes
to Emily Holmes, Chi Omega's Assistant Panhellenic Chair, as
all of her hard work is very much appreciated!

Destination
Unknown consisted of three nights full of surprises. Click here

COPS
& ROBBERS CRUSH PARTY- (2.11.04)
Despite
the snow, lots of girls, date or no date, still made it to the
Player's Club for a night of dancing. Most attendees dressed
up as cops and/or robbers and were handcuffed together at the
door. As we snacked on donuts and danced the night away, everyone
had a blast dancing to a variety of music (from 80's music to
current singles). Click here

Valentine's Day party.
CHI
O-T-UGLY - (1.31.04)
Erin
Snure, our new Social director, did an amazing job putting together
our first social event of the semester. After numerous girls
went skiing and snowboarding in the mountains, they were all
sure to travel through the snow and traffic to get back for
our Chi O-T-Ugly
party with our neighbor fraternity, Pi Kappa Phi. After meeting
up together, some dressing like cowgirls, we all ventured off
to Old Chicago on Pearl Street and danced the night away. Thanks
Erin for all of your hard work!
