The doc files:
  thesis.doc.tar.gz is a gzipped tar file of the template *.doc files

The mif files:
  thesis.mif.tar.gz is a gzipped tar file of the template *.mif files

Download one of them.  The *.doc version is easier to use but may be
less portable since the files are in binary format.  They were
generated on a Sun 4 running SunOS Unix.  Framemaker is expected to
read them, but might fail across some platform combinations.  The
*.mif version requires a little more work to use, though not much, and
is likely to port across more platforms and versions of Framemaker.
