travel grant app opens May 16
The Graduate School offers partial funding for graduate students to present research findings at meetings or conferences outside Colorado. The grant application for travel occurring 7/1/13-12/31/13 will open on May 16, 2013 at 9:00am. Funding goes very quickly, so be sure to apply early! >> See full details.

The Graduate School recently joined the Association for Women in Science, which means that CU-Boulder graduate students can now join the association for free. Benefits include: access to career opportunities, a subsciption to the AWIS magazine, job postings, funding resources, and networking opportunities. >> More information.
Grad Student Feature of the month: Emily Booth
When it comes to social responsibility, Emily Booth is getting down to business.
Booth will graduate from CU-Boulder with distinction this May with concurrent bachelor's and master’s degrees in accounting and a certificate in Socially Responsible Enterprise from the Leeds School of Business.But she won't stop there. For her next step, Booth will be taking one of six prestigious post-graduate positions with the Financial Accounting Standards Board. Read more >>

Graduate students are involved in a project to use a robotic-controlled garden to grow food during long space missions.
Graduating master's student Jaclyn Fortier (Journalism) recently produced a radio broadcast "Technology for Life" for KUNC. Listen to the audio broadcast. >>
Doctoral student Se Jin Song led a study on the transfer of bacteria among family members and dogs.
Doctoral students in the Psychology and Neuroscience Department co-authored a study on how aerobic activity may improve cognitive functions after excessive alcohol consumption.
