Experimental investigation of brittle and ductile properties of Earth materials as they pertain to continental drift, Earthquakes and toxic waste disposal.

Current Research Projects: Experimental determination of the equation of state of mantle minerals under high pressure and temperature. The effect of contamination and fracture geometry on fluid flow in saturated and undersaturated porous media.
