The Western United States during the Precambrian:

Exploring configurations of the super continent Rodinia from evidence in Mojavia and rift sediments.

I. Introduction

Laurentia was a central part of the super continent Rodinia in the Precambrian. The configuration of the continents within Rodinia is still vigorously debated. Several configurations, such as the common AUSWUS and SWEAT models, have different interpretations of what was linked to the western United States during the Precambrian. Geochemical studies on the exoctic crustal province Mojavia and rifted sediments on the Cordilleran margin have been used to support various models. The purpose of this page is to show how the data is used and to let the reader decide which model they feel is best supported.

Whoa, this is too much reading --give me the Summary of Mojavia (S&M) version!
