Lavender Graduation, which is co-sponsored by the Alumni Association and the GLBTQ Resource Center, includes a reception and a keynote speech. In addition, all graduates participating in the ceremony receive a certificate, rainbow tassel, and gifts from the Alumni Association.
Any GLBTQI or ally graduating student (undergrad, graduate, or professional) who is graduating in the calendar year of the ceremony (Spring, Summer, or Fall) is welcome and encouraged to participate.

Keynote Speaker - Gene Nichol
This year's keynote speaker is Gene Nichol, recipient of the 2014 Joanne Arnold Courage and Commitment Award. While serving as Dean of the Law School, Professor Nichol chaired the first CU-Boulder Task Force on Gay and Lesbian Issues in the early 1990's, creating the blueprint of several LGBTQIA programs and resources that exist at the university today. An exceptional scholar-activist, and former President of the College of William and Mary, Professor Nichol is currently Boyd Tinsley Distinguished Profess and Director of the Center on Poverty, Work and Opportunity at the University of North Carolina in the School of Law.For more information, contact Scarlet at firstname.lastname@example.org.
