Lavender Graduation

At the end of each academic year we host a farewell reception to honor GLBTQIA graduates and GLBTQIA scholarship recipients. Graduating students, including undergraduates, graduates, and professional students, are invited to take part in Lavender Graduation, which occurs each year in conjunction with university-wide commencement events. The event is also our opportunity to welcome new alumni. CU alumni and friends, family, and allies are welcome to attend.

Lavender Graduation, which is co-sponsored by the Alumni Association and the GLBTQ Resource Center, includes a reception and a keynote speech. In addition, all graduates participating in the ceremony receive a certificate, rainbow tassel, and gifts from the Alumni Association.

Any GLBTQI or ally graduating student (undergrad, graduate, or professional) who is graduating in the calendar year of the ceremony (Spring, Summer, or Fall) is welcome and encouraged to participate.
