Description
The narrative film emphasis at CU engages film storytelling with the same aesthetic rigor that characterizes its celebrated experimental tradition. Non-traditional models and approaches are emphasized, as are tactics and forms available to the truly independent artist working outside the entertainment industry. CU narrative envisions a highly personal, regionally specific practice, as bold as the Colorado landscape itself. To facilitate such self-sufficiency, the study of narrative emphasizes the acquisition of a broad range of technical and conceptual skills. And the department maintains the best facilities possible, in both film and the various and constantly evolving technologies of new media.
