Students are encouraged to work with their advisor(s), throughout the course of their college career, to make their academic experience at CU as meaningful and successful as possible. Students should make an appointment with their advisor(s) prior to registration each semester. CU students must go the website http://aac.colorado.edu to make an appointment with the advisor.
The Film Studies academic advisor, whose office is in ATLAS 321, can be reached by email at
Note that, during Spring and Fall registration periods (October/November and March/April, respectively), making appointments well in advance is critical to ensuring access to the advisor.
Walk-in hours are available in the Fall and Spring terms and are posted on the AAC web site as well as on the advisor’s door. Please use walk-in hours and email correspondence for quick questions that do not require a lengthy review of your status toward graduation.
Students planning to graduate during current or subsequent term MUST make an on line appointment; no walk-in advising .
Continuing CU students interested in declaring the FILM major must first attend a prospective major meeting. These are held every other week in the Fall and Spring terms and you must register for a meeting before attending (see instructions below on how to register for a meeting). Note: Prospective major meetings are not held during Summer Terms.
