Executive Committee Meeting

Monday, November 29, 2004

Bintliff reported preliminary results from the straw poll on Course Repetition and encouraged everyone to submit their votes to create a clear picture of where the faculty stand on the issue.  She reviewed a memo written to the chancellor requesting a faculty member be placed on the CU City Oversight Committee and reviewed her letter which focused on the conversation from the November 15 Executive Committee session relating to using Coors Brewing Company funds for socially responsible programs to support alcohol awareness among students.  The BFA will develop a series of recommendations  to address alcohol-related issues by the end of the academic year.

Reports followed from the chairs of Bylaws, Intercollegiate Athletics, Administrative Appraisal, Budget & Planning, Academic Affairs, Faculty Affairs, Faculty Compensation, and the Committee on Women.
