Resolution on Possible Faculty Salary Cuts

WHEREAS

In a situation where cuts in salary or percent time of appointment are made in response to budgetary constraints and are not based on merit; and

WHEREAS

Faculty should not have to re-earn salary lost during budget cuts; and

WHEREAS

Faculty are entitled to the return of that salary without having to show additional merit;

LET IT BE RESOLVED

That any such cuts should be restored as soon as possible without regard to requirements of merit.
