Bio
Alina Van Nelson received her BA in 1996 (with a dissertation on Jules Supervielle) and MA degree in 1997 (with a dissertation on Jean Giono) from the University Alexandru Ioan Cuza in Iasi, Romania. She taught French language and literature for six years in Romania prior to coming to Colorado to continue her academic work. She enrolled in the department as PhD student in 2002, and is currently working on her dissertation, which focuses on French contemporary novels. She teaches 2000-3000 classes, including 2110, 2120, 2500, 3010, 3050, 3200, as well as beginning and intermediate French classes in Continuing Education.
