Bio
Fawzia Ahmad received a Masters in French from the University of Notre Dame in 1984, and a Doctorate in French Language and Literatures in 1996 from Boston University specializing in Francophone Literatures.
She has taught undergraduate French courses at CU-Boulder since 1998 and also coordinates the French composition (3rd year) courses.
Fawzia's inter-disciplinary teaching interests and publications include the literatures and theories of the post-colonial era, Francophone literature and Islamic societies. Fawzia also teaches 'Women in Islam' for the Women's and Gender Studies Department. When not pursuing academic interests, she busies herself with horse-back riding, running and being with her two children in the foothills of the Rockies.
