Study Abroad for Italian Majors and Minors
CU offers three programs in Italy for Italian majors and minors: one in Florence (affiliated with Syracuse University), one in Perugia (affiliated with Arcadia University) and one in Ferrara (affiliated with CIEE). All credit earned in courses in the Syracuse program in Florence and in the Arcadia program in Perugia, with the exception of studio arts courses, may be applied to the Italian major. Students majoring or minoring in Italian must meet with the Italian advisor before going on a Study Abroad program to Italy to discuss their course of study and how courses will satisfy major and minor requirements. CU-Boulder also supports a summer program in Italy for students of art history; credits earned on this program may be applied to the Italian major.
On all CU programs, students receive CU "in residence" credit. For further information about study abroad programs, students may visit their primary advisors or the Office of International Education.
The Ayer Romance Language Scholarship is available for majors who plan to study abroad; it is awarded by the Department of French and Italian. In addition to scholarships available through the French & Italian Department, CU students may apply for the CU Study Abroad scholarship through the Office of International Education.
