The
Italian Division at the University of Colorado features three
tenure-line faculty members, a fourth faculty member who
teaches in both French and Italian, and several
instructors and lecturers. Tenure-line faculty specialize
in the Italian Renaissance and in modern literature
and cinema, while instructors provide additional
expertise in art his
tory, theater, business,
and contemporary Italian culture. Members of
the division have produced several books and
textbooks in the last four years, and CU ranks
among the leaders nationally in terms of number
of majors and minors in the program, making
it an excellent place to receive a rich and
rewarding experience in Italian language and
culture. There are several study-abroad programs,
and students can choose either a minor or a
major in Italian. There is also a new joint
Certificate Program with Engineering.
