Major Requirements
In addition to college core curriculum, as an Ethnic Studies major you must complete the following requirements:
- Complete 33 credit hours in Ethnic Studies, 24 of which must be at the upper-division level.
- Maintain an Ethnic Studies grade point average of 2.00, and receive no less than a C- in all Ethnic Studies classes.
- Complete the following 3-credit hour Ethnic Studies core courses: ETHN 2001 (Foundations of Ethnic Studies), ETHN 3501 (Research Methods in Ethnic Studies), ETHN 4511 (Research Practicum in Ethnic Studies), ETHN 4951 (Senior Seminar in Ethnic Studies)
- Complete 12 credit hours in a primary ethnic-specific concentration, and 6 credit hours in a secondary ethnic-specific concentration. You must also complete one 3 credit comparative course at the 3000 or 4000 level.
