| Ph.D., Penn State University, 2006, is an assistant professor with research interest in industrial organization, macroeconomics, and international trade. Her current research interest includes empirical investigation of the selection process between heterogeneous firms and the evolution of an industry under different market regulations, institutions and policies. She develops dynamic empirical industry models with monopolistic competition and aggregate uncertainty that are capable of relating the evolution of an industry to the macroeconomic environment that surrounds the industry. Using this type of models she addresses the issue of productivity change through reallocation with particular interest in how patterns of reallocation, entry and exit of firms, and productivity distributions among heterogeneous firms are affected by financial market imperfections, employment protection legislation and international trade policy. |
