The Department of Economics and the International Affairs Program invite applications for an Assistant Professor, tenure-track position in Development Economics to begin August 2012. Candidates for this position should demonstrate strong potential for excellence in research and teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Teaching duties will be divided between the Department of Economics and the International Affairs Program, the latter requiring interdisciplinary perspectives. Expertise in a geographic area, e.g., Africa, Asia, is also of interest to the International Affairs Program and considered a plus. Candidates ordinarily should have completed all requirements for the PhD by August 2012, but candidates close to completion by that date may be considered.
