Unless otherwise specified, the materials available online are in .pdf format and can be read with the Adobe Acrobat Reader v5.0. If you do not have the Acrobat Reader, you can download it for free from the adobe web site. You might want to download the reader before downloading any of the course materials. cussion papers. Depending on your graphics card, the .pdf document might appear fuzzy on you screen, but will print clearly. If it is fuzzy on the screen, zoom to a higher magnification. (Note that Version 2 of Acrobat Reader will not work.)
 
Adobe Acrobat is a package of programs from Adobe that allows one to create pdf files directly from other formats such as WordPerfect and Word. It includes the Reader and costs approximately $50 with the academic discount. For more details see Adobe Acrobat.
 
Once you have Adobe Acrobat Reader downloaded to your machine, clicking the title of the document will open it on the Web in the Acrobat Reader. Then use "save as" under "file" to copy the paper to one of your directories.
