4. 1/17/12 Waitlist students:If you are enrolled in the lectures, but waitlisted for a section, there actually are recitations with openings. The trick is that, on the registration website, you have to go beyond the first page to find them. The four sections with openings are: Section 322 on Monday at 8 a.m., Section 324 on Wednesday at 8 a.m., Section 326 on Monday at 8 a.m., Section 327 on Monday at 9 a.m. I hope that this helps you all get enrolled.

5. 1/29/02 TO ALL STUDENTS: Our first Aplia homework assignment is due on Friday at 6p.m. In this assignment, as in all future assignments, some of the questions may only allow you to enter your answer once. However, others, and perhaps most or even all, will allow you to enter your answer and then change it up to twice more, with feedback after the first and second answers. I don't know if you will be able to tell which kind of question you are answering until you enter an answer. If you can't, be thoughtful with your first answer. It may be your only opportunity.

6. 2/8/02 TO ALL STUDENTS: In general, students should attend the recitation in which they are enrolled. In order to get credit for recitation assignments, students must attend a recitation given by the TA in whose recitation they are enrolled. If students wish to attend a recitation given by that TA which is different from the recitation in which they are enrolled, they must obtain permission from their TA in advance. Permission should be neither sought nor granted unless temporary circumstances prevent attendance at the recitation in which the student is enrolled.

7. 2/8/02 STUDENTS WHO ENROLLED AFTER THE FIRST RECITATION ASSIGNMENT: If you missed clicker, recitation or homework assignments because you officially enrolled in the course after those assignments took place, you are entitled to be excused from those assignments. However, in order to obtain that excuse, you must email me with documentation of the date of your recitation enrollment.

8. 2/16/02 TO ALL STUDENTS: I will not hold office hours today. I am traveling out of town to present a seminar. Email me if you have questions.
