Special Degree Options
The University of Colorado offers three options to expand the content and impact of the Executive MBA degree.
Option #1: Dual Executive MBA/Master of Science degrees
Upon completion of the CU Executive MBA, graduates may earn a second master's degree from the University of Colorado Denver in an accelerated time frame; credit for core courses earned in the Executive MBA is applied to the requirements for the master of science degree. Participants may choose from six different business disciplines including: accounting, finance, information systems, international business, marketing, and management.
Option #2: Executive MBA with an area of emphasis
Upon completion of the CU Executive MBA, graduates may earn an emphasis in one of five different business disciplines (finance, information systems, management, technology management, and project management) through the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Participants take between three and four additional courses to earn an emphasis in an area of business that is of particular interest. These are distance courses offered via the Internet.
Option #3: Executive MBA with a specialization
Upon completion of the CU Executive MBA, graduates may earn a specialization in one of 18 different disciplines through the University of Colorado Denver. Participants take additional courses to earn a specialization in an area of business that is of particular interest.
