ELLC-CU LEAD Alliance Scholarship

Students enrolled in the Ethnic Living and Learning Community (ELLC) Leadership Studies Program are eligible to apply for a $6,000 CU LEAD Alliance Scholarship. Scholarship recipients receive $1,500 each year for four years contingent on full-time enrollment, reasonable academic progress and continued participation in the ELLC program. In addition, students who receive the LEAD Alliance Scholarship will receive a one-time award of $725 to cover the cost of the residential academic program participation fee. Specific recipient requirements are noted on the scholarship application.

ELLC LEAD Opportunity Scholarship

The ELLC Leadership Studies Program at Williams Village offers a need-based scholarship to incoming freshman wishing to participate in the ELLC. This scholarship is a one-time award of $725 that covers the cost of the residential academic program fee. In some instances partial awards may be given, dependant upon the student’s financial situation. Specific recipient requirements are noted on the scholarship application.

Applications for all scholarships need to be accompanied by:

1. A short essay no longer than one page illustrating the following points:

  • Why diversity is important to you.
  • Your interest in living in a multicultural community.
  • What you would like to learn about multicultural leadership.
  • How you will use this knowledge.
  • A statement on how receiving this award will assist you in obtaining your educational goals.

2. A copy of your high school and/or college transcripts.

3. Financial needs statement

Please note: The Office of Financial Aid will divide this scholarship equally between fall and spring semesters and will directly credit your tuition and fees bill each semester as applicable. Please be aware that receiving this award may affect your current financial aid award. If your financial aid will be altered due to this scholarship you will receive a Revised Award Letter from the Office of Financial Aid.
