Aaron Harber describes a recent visit to Iraq
Several times each semester the Leadership RAP at Williams Village sponsors special events to enrich the experience of our students. Some recent events include:
- An evening with documentary film maker George Butler, director of films about extraordinary individuals including Pumping Iron(Arnold Schwartzenneger), The Endurance(Ernest Shakelton) and Going Upriver(John Kerry)
- Presidential Debate Series - Pre-debate discussions followed by debate watching.
Discussion topics included:
- Colorado Amendment 46 the "Civil Rights Amendment"
- Differences in the Republican and Democratic platforms
- Some impacts of race and gender on the 2008 election
- An evening with Aaron Harber the host of a news show on public television. Aaron is known for insightful discussions with his guests on national and international issues.
- An icecream social and discussion of the University's plan for the year 2030 was hosted by Chancellor Bud Peterson's office.
- A Spring Celebration Banquet is enjoyed by students and staff every April. The event honors graduating students for their accomplishments while at UCB and inspires the freshman class to follow in their footsteps. Entertainment and a catered dinner add to the festivities.
