PAUL CAINE

Publisher, People Magazine

As publisher of People, the world’s most popular magazine, Paul has overseen all advertising sales since 2004. Under his direction, People was named Advertising Age’s 2005 “Magazine of the Year” and ranked #1 on Adweek’s 2006 “Hot List” for its excellence in advertising. Prior to 2004, Paul worked for USA Today and J. Walter Thompson, served as publisher of Entertainment Weekly, worked as an advertising sales representative for People, and launched Teen People . His long list of honors includes the Ad Club’s 2006 “President’s Award,” recognition as one of Crain’s New York Business’ 2002 “40 Rising Stars Under 40,” and a 2004 induction into the American Advertising Federation's “Advertising Hall of Achievement.”

JEFF STEINHOUR

Managing Partner/Director of Content Management, Crispin Porter + Bogusky

Jeff joined CP+B in 1992 as Account Supervisor and became a partner in 1997. CP+B’s client list includes Burger King, Volkswagen, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Coke Zero, Sprite, Miller and the Truth anti-tobacco campaign. Based in Boulder, Miami and LA, the agency has been profiled in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Forbes, Newsweek, and Creativity. CP+B is one of the world’s most awarded agencies and the only one to win the Grand Prix in every category at Cannes.

JASON HOFF

Creative Director, Cliff Freeman, NYC

A CU alum, Jason began his career in the creative sector at DeVito/Verdi in New York, and at R&R Partners in Las Vegas. At R&R, Jason co-created the “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” campaign slogan that has gained national attention on “The Simpsons,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” and “Saturday Night Live.” In 2004, he represented the United States at the Cannes Festival in France. After working as a creative director at BBDO in New York on campaigns for Pepsi, General Electric, and eBay, Jason is now a creative director at Cliff Freeman.

BRAD KARSH

Owner, JobBound

Brad is the nation's leading expert on breaking into the job market. He has been featured on CNBC and CNN Headline News, and quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Glamour, and The Chicago Tribune. Before starting JobBound, Brad worked for the advertising giant Leo Burnett USA. As VP/Director of Talent Acquisition, he was responsible for the agency's hiring.

ALAN SNITOW

Vice President, Group Planning Director, SS+K, NYC

Alan, who received an Anthropology Degree from Washington University, daily translates his natural curiosity about people into a job skill. At Deutsch Advertising, he worked as Vice President and Account Planner for accounts such as Tylenol, Mitchum, CadburyAdamŐs and Snapple. Alan is currently working as the Group Planning Director for SS+K in Manhattan.

JONATHAN SCHOENBERG

Creative Director and Owner, TDA, Boulder

TDA has been recognized by Ad Age's Creativity, Shoot Magazine, and the One Club's One Magazine as one of the best small agencies in the country. Jonathan has been recognized in the One Show, Cannes Festival, Communication Arts Advertising Annual, New York Art Director's Club, and England's D&AD awards. He currently works with Chipotle, General Electric, Crocs footwear, Titus Bikes, Cloudveil, and the Denver Nuggets.

WADE ALGER

Creative Director, GSD&M, Austin

Wade began his career at DDB Worldwide, where he worked on accounts such as American Airlines, McDonald's, and Anheuser-Busch. After leaving DDB, he worked for Square One in Dallas on accounts such as Miller Lite, and the Dallas Mavericks. Wade later moved on to T:M Advertising and helped create the Nationwide Insurance 'Life comes at you fast' campaign. Wade currently works for GSDM as the creative director on BMW. His work has been recognized by Cannes, One Show, Archive, and New York festivals.

NICOLE JANCI

Associate Director, OMD Ignition, Chicago

Born into the Omnicom family in 1999, Nicole Janci began her career at BBDO Chicago in media planning. At BBDO, she won a 2001 Effie for her communications plans for the Kahlua brand. Nicole joined OMD in 2002, where she initially concentrated on the ABN AMRO/LaSalle Bank account as an Associate Director of Strategy. In 2005, she joined the OMD Ignition team as an associate director, where she has since provided strategic stewardship and oversight to the ABN AMRO/LaSalle Bank and Bel Cheese teams, as well as the MOCNI (McDonald's Operators of Chicago and Nortwest Indiana) account.

STEVE BARRY

Account Director, Wieden + Kennedy, Portland

Steve joined Wieden and Kennedy in 2005 and manages the EA Sports account. Prior to this, Steve worked for Goodby Silverstein in San Francisco and Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Miami. These three companies are considered the top creative advertising agencies in the U.S. Steve is a CU alum.

DENVER PROFESSIONALS

We will introduce you to key people in the Denver advertising community during our Friday career workshop on “What I look for in entry-level candidates.” In the morning, you will get to hear top Denver advertising professionals in a round-table discussion. In the afternoon you will participate in small-group interviewing workshops conducted by area HR managers.
