Head of CU Advertising Program. Mindy has been teaching at the University of Colorado since 1996. Prior to joining CU’s Advertising Program, she was a senior partner and Associate Media Director at Ogilvy & Mather in New York. There, she worked on national and international accounts such as Duracell Batteries, Kimberly-Clark paper products, House of Seagram and GlaxoSmithKline.
Kendra has over 15 years of experience in consumer research and account planning. She pioneered early consumer ethnographic research methods to understand socio-cultural aspects of consumption. Prior to joining the Advertising faculty, Kendra worked with numerous Minneapolis advertising agencies including Fallon and Carmichael Lynch. Some past clients include Target, American Express, AARP, MasterCard, and Pillsbury. Kendra will teach the account planning class.
David's students at SMU and CU have repeatedly won, placed in or been finalists in the One Show and currently work at a variety of top agencies including DDB, TBWA/Chiat/Day, Cliff Freeman, Young & Rubicam, Hal Riney, J.Walter Thompson, and Goodby Silverstein Partners. Since 1999, he has worked on diverse interactive projects with Omnicom digital companies Agency.com, Organic, Red Sky Interactive, Tribal DDB and Rapp Digital for a range of clients including Chrysler, RBK, Absolut, and Sony. His print work with DDB has been honored by top awards shows and publications, including the Clios, Creativity, Art Directors Annual, D&AD, and Communication Arts.
Brett Robbs joined the faculty in 1992. He has more than 20 years of professional advertising experience and joined CU from Washington, D.C., where he was vice president and co-creative director of the DDB Needham advertising agency. He earlier served as senior writer/creative group head for the McCann-Erickson agency in Chicago. He also served as administrative director of the Center for Southern Folklore. Brett continues to develop advertising for a variety of organizations including National Geographic and the University of Colorado. His research focuses on how changes in the advertising industry should impact the advertising curriculum. Brett earned both a PhD and MA in English at Vanderbilt University. He will teach the campaigns class.
A 1999 graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, Teri has worked in account management for firms such as Goodby, Silverstein, & Partners in San Franciso, Wieden + Kennedy in Portland, Oregon, and, currently, TDA in Boulder. At Goodby, Silverstein, & Partners, Teri coordinated campaigns for E*TRADE and managed the Hewlett-Packard account that won Ad Age's 2003 and AdWeek's 2004 Campaign of the Year. She supervised the Nike account for Wieden + Kennedy, through which she spearheaded the 2006 World Cup product campaign and managed the “I Feel Pretty” platform for tennis superstar Maria Sharapova. At TDA, Teri is working on campaigns for Chipotle, Jones Soda, Cloudveil, and New Business. She also has experience mentoring young advertising professionals on career advancement. Teri will teach the account management class.
