The unexcavated Casa Chiquita, located near the old north entrance
to the Canyon, is a square block of rooms surrounding a central elevated round room. Apparently built in one episode of construction, it probably dates to the period A. D. 1100-1130.
A trail beginning at Casa Chiquita follows an old wagon road down
Chaco Wash and leads to Peñasco Blanco . The cliff face on the north of the road contains a rich collection of rock art and historic inscriptions.
