GETTING HERE
To Boulder, by car:
Boulder is approximately 30 miles northwest of Denver. The main artery into Boulder is Rt. 36 (the Boulder Turnpike), which runs northwest from Denver off Interstate 25.
From north of Denver: Take I-25 south to Rt. 36 west to Boulder
From south of Denver: Take I-25 north to Rt. 36 west to Boulder.
From east of Denver: Take I-70 or I-76 west to I-25 north to Rt. 36 west to Boulder.
From west of Denver: Take I-70 or I-76 east to I-25 north to Rt. 36 west to Boulder.
To Boulder, from Denver International Airport:
There are several convenient and affordable options for getting from DIA to Boulder, but plan a minimum of 90 minutes to get from one to the other, a distance of nearly 60 miles.
By car: As you leave the airport, follow the airport signs onto I-70 west, then take the I-270 spur (Exit 279, follow the signs to Boulder) to Rt. 36 west to Boulder.
By bus: Denver’s bus system (RTD, for Regional Transportation District) is outstanding, and airport buses (called the SkyRide) run hourly between DIA to Boulder for $10 each way (They do not provide change). Getting to CU’s Visitor Parking:
Exit Rt. 36 at Baseline, turn LEFT at bottom of ramp. Turn RIGHT onto Broadway. Proceed past Regent Street to the intersection at Euclid Avenue. Turn RIGHT onto Euclid (onto campus) and then LEFT into the university’s Euclid Autopark. You can park in the Euclid Autopark all day on Saturday for a flat rate of $2.00. Parking is also available directly east of the Wolf Law Building. This lot, number 402, is free and available on the weekends. Other parking options include campus meters (2 hour limit) and street parking in the neighborhood west of campus (free, but most street parking is also limited to 2 hours). Getting to the Atlas Institute Building
The Atlas Institute Building is located off of Broadway Road on the west part of campus. Traveling west on Hwy 36, exit onto Baseline and turn LEFT, heading toward the mountains. Turn RIGHT onto Broadway and then turn RIGHT into campus on Euclid Avenue.
