(2) be a declared major in Classics;

(3) agree to apply for admission to at least two departmentally approved study-abroad programs (see the list below).

1. On a separate sheet of paper provide the following information:

a. List all the courses in Classics you have done thus far. These can include language, literature and history courses completed in High School.

b. List the names of the study abroad programs to which you plan to apply.

c. List any relevant academic honors, prizes or scholarships that you have won.

d. List any relevant extracurricular activities in which you have participated.

f. In a sentence or two describe what you intend to do after you complete your undergraduate degree (e.g., attend graduate school, travel, begin a career).
2. In an essay of no more than 500 words answer this three-part question:

How did you become interested in the Classics? What value do you think study abroad will have for your education? What value do you think Classical studies have in today’s world?
3. List two members of the Department who could best represent your talents and abilities to the selection committee. There is no need to request letters of recommendation. The committee will confer with your recommenders in person.
