What is a RAP?

Residential academic programs (RAPS) provide undergraduates with shared learning and living experiences and a sense of community. Once admitted, you can look forward to:

  • Taking selected courses right in your hall
  • Connecting with friends who share your interests
  • Educational and social events planned just for you
  • The chance to grow and develop your own ideas in a small group setting

As with all on-campus housing, apply to this special program early to gain admission. A separate program fee is charged.

Residential Academic Program Community Values and Expectations

As a “living and learning” community we are committed to fully realizing the human potential for all our members. We believe our faculty, staff and students have the right to pursue their lives in a community of mutual respect and civility. Moreover, we expect them to be able to do so in a safe environment that values diversity. Finally, we recognize that those of us who enjoy the privilege of a university education share a responsibility for serving the broader society.
