Accreditation HistoryThe last NCA evaluation of the University of Colorado at Boulder occurred in November 1989, resulting in the evaluating teams recommendation for continued accreditation of the Boulder campus as a whole. The teams report in 1989 included four "areas of concern" and six "suggestions" intended to "assist university personnel in the prosecution of their tasks." Boulder campus responses are provided in Responses to 1989 NCA Review. Accreditation by specialty bodies is another means by which certain individual CU-Boulder programs are reviewed for appropriateness and achievement. The academic units listed below undergo periodic evaluation in order to obtain and renew accreditations granted by various state and national organizations.
