Wireless Internet Access—Setup Information

OverviewTo access the wireless network on campus, you will need to know your CU login name and IdentiKey password. If you need information on obtaining your IdentiKey, click here or call the IT Service Center at (303) 735-HELP (5-4357 from a campus phone). To connect to the wireless data network, you will need a laptop with an 802.11g (preferred) or 802.11b wireless network card, either built-in or external.
Accessing UCB WirelessCU-Boulder's wireless network can be identified by the SSID (or Network Name) "UCB Wireless." ITS recommends that you choose UCB Wireless as your wireless network when you are on campus.
IP Address Range for UCB Wireless Register Your Computer on the Wireless NetworkTo start using wireless, you need to register your wireless network card. Open a web browser and go to http://dhcp.colorado.edu. You will be re-directed to the registration web page. Read and accept the User Agreement, enter your CU Login Name and IdentiKey password, then restart your computer (power off and on). Make sure you clear your web browser’s cache after registering your computer. This will help you get on the network.
