Installation Instructions for VPN Client on Mac OS 10.3-4, Original Mac platforms ONLY. (Screenshots from 10.4)

If you use the client download from this website, the configuration should be preset and usable immediately. There is only a small setup procedure as defined below that is necessary before using the VPN.

Note: This version does not work on Apple computers with Intel processors. Click here for that version.

1. Download the VPN client here. (If you haven't done so already)

Note: You will need to use your CU Login Name and IdentiKey password to download the client.

2. Now that you have the VPN client downloaded, a new icon should appear on your desktop like the one below (If the icon did not appear then double-click the file that you downloaded).

Double-click the icon labeled CiscoVPNClient

3. Once you have double-clicked the icon a new window will appear showing you the contents of the icon you clicked.  Double-click the item labeled Cisco VPN Client to start the installer.

4. The installer will now start and the installation of the VPN client can now begin.  At the first screen click the Continue button.

5. The Software License Agreement will appear. Read through the agreement and click Continue.

6. Click Agree to continue.

7. To Select a Destination for the VPN software, click once on your hard drive, and then click Continue.

8. To start the installation, click Install.

9. To install the software, you will have to be logged in as the administrator. This login is unique to each machine and is usually the first account created.

10. Click on OK and the installation will be begin.

11. Once the software was successfully installed close the window by clicking Close.

12. After you close the install window, you can now open the VPN client.
