Proposed Computer and Network Security Measures
 

Information technology security has become increasingly complex, requiring that we make significant and swift changes to our networking environment. Given this challenge, campus IT security professionals have worked to outline a strategic direction.

The University IT Security Policy Working Group has completed the first group of policies which will be moving through the University Administrative Policy Statements approval process. View these policies at www.cusys.edu/IT-Policy-WG.

Firewall Implementation: Phase 1

Phase 1 of the firewall implementation occurred on August 7, 2006. This first step placed all computing devices in one of two zones based on the local need for inbound academic or business traffic.

IT Security Forum Resources
