Outreach Coordinator Position
Cornell University East Asia Program (http://www.einaudi.cornell.edu/eastasia/) seeks qualified candidates to fill a 30 hours/week Outreach Coordinator position.
Job Summary: Initiate and organize K-12 and post-secondary outreach activities. Develop and manage outreach resources. Assist with grant applications and related data collecting and reporting. Prepare and monitor outreach budgets and accounts. Serve as liaison between program and various outreach constituents.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s with 2-3 years relevant experience or equivalent combination. Evidence of ability to produce and disseminate high quality educational resources. Knowledge of and ability to articulate local and national educational standards, outcomes and assessment methods and to work effectively with individuals from a variety of cultures and backgrounds.
Preferred: Master's degree. Experience with an East Asian language/culture. Professional writing experience, including curriculum design; background in international education and familiarity with US Department of Education NRC programs.

Tenure-track Faculty positions in South Asian Studies Programme at National University of Singapore
The South Asian Studies Programme (SASP) in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the National University of Singapore seeks two tenure-track scholars at the Assistant or Associate Professor levels in the following areas:
(a) Urban Studies/ Gender Studies / Development Studies in South Asia
Candidates should have doctoral training in one of the following areas: anthropology, sociology, geography, political economy and literary and cultural studies. Further, they should have strong theoretical and empirical grounding in the area of South Asian gender studies, urban studies and development studies and must show evidence of multi-disciplinary research.
(b) Popular Culture and Cinema in South Asia.
Candidates should have doctoral training in literature, film studies, sociology or cultural studies. Further, they should have strong theoretical and empirical grounding in the area of South Asian popular culture and/or cinema and must show evidence of multi-disciplinary research.
Candidates with overlapping expertise in areas (a) and (b) are particularly welcome. Both appointees would be expected to teach and develop multi-disciplinary undergraduate and graduate modules in relevant areas, supervise postgraduate students and build up the research profile of the South Asian Studies Programme at NUS. For these positions, familiarity with and competence in a relevant South Asian language is essential. Teaching and curriculum development experience would be advantageous.
