Room 1B50 Calligraphy performance.Yunn Pann's performance with her authentic big brush. The audience participated by creating a chi-kung pulse of energy through a form of movement and meditation. VIDEO
Room 125 Indonesian artifact display. Look at selected items from around Indonesia. Guides will be available to answer your questions.

Room 135 Please Vote for Me? Democracy in China with John Zeljo. This session is designed for teachers. After viewing the documentary of elections in a Chinese elementary school, discuss civic education, democracy, and political reform in China. VIDEO
Room 186 Calligraphy with Hideko Shimizu. Learn about this Asian art form and try the brush techniques yourself!
Room 125 Indonesian Language and Travel: An introduction to Bahasa Indonesia and volunteer work in Bali and Sumatra with Margaret Shugart and Anya Bates.
Room 145 Hands-on Japan with Jessica Rodd. This is a session specifically for elementary teachers. We will explore Japan artifact trunks now available for free check-out.

Lobby Japanese Folk Dance: Cathy Ishida will lead you through the steps.
Room 125 Indonesian Cooking Demonstration: Margaretha Sudarsih will show you some traditional techniques and have a taste for you to try.
Room 1B90 Spice, Rice, and Daily Life: Robert and Lauri McNown will share their experiences living in Vietnam while Robert was a Fulbright scholar. This session will last until 1:00

Room 145 Introduction to Hindi language with Christine Everaert. Learn about the Hindi language, spoken by over 500 million people world wide.
Room 186 The History of Manga with Ben Grafstrom. This talk is available to secondary classrooms by request.
Room 1B50 Indonesian Classical Martial Arts: A demonstration by the group Inner Wave Pencak Silat.
Room 125 Little Yoga Warriors: This session if specifically for children! Join the author and illustrator of this book as they read their work and lead you through yoga poses.
Room 190 Kids Room: Asian crafts, games, and fun for children.

Room 125 Little Tiger: A documentary of how a Chinese Opera icon has worked to preserve her art form in the U.S.

Room 186 Cry of the Snow Lion: Tibet's recent past told through personal stories and interviews. While beautiful, this movie is extremely emotional and disturbing. Children should NOT attend.

Room 190 Japanese Kamishibai Stories read by Hisako Schibli. This session is for kids! Come listen to these “paper-theatre”-style folk tales.
