Continuing Education in Assistive Technology:

 

1.  Closing the Gap – Computer Technology in Education and Rehabilitation.  This is a great resource for preschool- 12 product information, best practice and training opportunities.  They have a wonderful annual conference and publish a great product resource guide.

2.  CSUN – California State University at Northridge hosts the premier assistive technology conference for adaptations for adults.  It has an impressive vendor hall with any and all adapted computing products and vendors at your fingertips.

3.  RESNA –the Rehab and Engineering Society of North America is an organization that does product development and research regarding assistive technology.  They host an annual conference that touches on the broader areas of assistive tech- not just adapted computing.

4.  Trace Center – is housed out of the University of Wisconsin at Madison.  They have an amazing web site with glossaries, product information, research and more.  They also produce a wonderful product information directory.

5.  Assistive Technology Partners – this is the designated sight for our state AT project.  They provide information and training opportunities for the various professionals working in AT. They also host an annual conference.
