Departments and Programs of Study
There are over 50 academic departments and programs in the College of Arts and Sciences. Many degree programs offer a minor in addition to the major, and other academic opportunities are also available for undergraduates. Students have many options in their academic career, and numerous opportunities for an education beyond a specific field of interest.

Majors
All degree seeking students in the College of Arts and Sciences must demonstrate the ability to pursue a focussed and concerted area of study by completion of an academic major. Information about College majors can be found here.
Minors
Students interested in more than one discipline may want to declare a minor as well as a major. Link here for minors requirements. These minors are open to any student enrolled at CU-Boulder. A&S students are also free to minor in departments in other colleges and schools.
Academic Opportunities for Undergraduates
