Richard A. McCray

Purpose:

To provide one scholarship annually to benefit an Arts and Sciences undergraduate student in natural sciences with at least a 3.5 GPA and demonstrated leadership. Preference given to those with financial need who major in science education.

Application Information:

Recipients are selected by a committee appointed by the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Nominations are submitted to the selection committee from the following departments: Applied Mathematics, Astrophysical & Planetary Sciences, EE Biology, MCD Biology, Chemistry & Biochemistry, Economics, Environmental Studies Program, Miramontes Arts and Sciences Program, Geography, Geological Sciences, Integrative Physiology, Mathematics, Physics and Psychology. The committee is particularly interested in supporting students who may wish to pursue a career in science education. Awardees must have at least a 3.5 GPA and demonstrated leadership ability.
