Purpose:
To provide awards to students in classics. comparative literature, English, French, or Italian, history, philosophy, Spanish or Portuguese, or theatre who have successfully completed Ph.D. comprehensive exams (or equivalent benchmark in units without comprehensive exams) at the time award period begins.
